Beyond the Ice Wall of Antarctica; CHOBAN NOMADS OF THE MOUNTAINS highlands surrounding SHANGRI-LA.

CHOBAN NOMADS OF THE MOUNTAINS

The CHOBAN inhabit the mountainous highlands surrounding SHANGRI-LA. Descended from the ARCHAIC HERD hunting nomads, they have taken on a pastoralist lifestyle, still nomadic, but now shepherding domesticated breeds of NODOSAURID and LEPTOCERATOPSID grazers, though they do enjoy a good hunt from time to time. Bold and adventurous, they travel vast distances across rough mountainous terrain to feed their flocks and facilitate trade between disparate regions of SHANGRI-LA

With their great stamina, mobility, fearlessness, and control of trade across the mountains they are the most Likely to establish political dominance over other VOGEL RACES, conquering nearby tribes or forming large confederations to exert their Will onto their settled counterparts. In recent millennia, certain hordes had attained such a level of dominance over the MIZRAK and BALIKCHI that they facilitated forced migrations from the

lakes to the OCEANIC COAST, in order to establish a new population of subject peoples that would

struggle to survive in the untamed foreign wilderness, unable to return home and thus forced to depend on their nomad overlords. They have the widest range by far, with many tribes living in untamed lands far away from SHANGRI-LA, fending for themselves and occasionally launching raids on those closer to the lakes.
