THE SENTINELS' GATE

THE SENTINELS' GATE

The terrain here is largely flat, with thousands of small ponds connected by a network of shallow underground waterways maintained by burrowing aquatic arthropods.

It is known for its eerie 2.5-meter-tall PENGUINS, who spend most of their time standing motionless along the shoreline, regularly spaced from each other and staring out into the distance.

All of their movements seem to be carefully coordinated, and they will lethally attack those who attempt to disrupt them.

Natives have developed a tradition of mimicking the sentinels with costumes and ritualistic performances.
