THE NAVIGATORS WHO FOUND EDEN. One of the most interesting passages that can be found in all literature is the one in which Christopher Columbus announces to his Royal patrons, his supposed discovery of the CLIMB TO THE GATE of the long-lost GARDEN OF EDEN . . In case this story really happened the way the official books tell us and as you already know we think about much of the OFFICIAL HISTORY FROM THIS SPACE, but if so, with what emotion your heart must have trembled when, Ascending this ascent, HE FELT THAT HIS SHIPS WERE GENTLY RISING TOWARDS THE SKY.
“Towards the sky” is this very important part of analysis; The weather was becoming "SOFTER"; AS IT WENT UP! To be so close to the Paradise planted by God, to be the first discoverer of the path by which the believing world could, after so many centuries, approach its sacred precincts once again , even if entry was prohibited, what an exquisite experience it must be! Be for the lonely spirit of any great explorer! IT IS HIS THIRD TRIP. It is located in the Gulf of Paria, north or northwest of the mouth of the Orinoco.
In his loyal epistle to Ferdinand and Isabella he thus writes:
The Holy Scriptures record that our Lord made the EARTHLY PARADISE and planted THE TREE OF LIFE IN IT; and from it springs a fountain from which the FOUR MAIN RIVERS of the WORLD are BORN, namely, the GANGES in India, the TIGRIS, the EUPHRATES, and the NILE.
They have never found any account from the Romans or the Greeks that positively or accurately establish the place of the TERRESTRIAL PARADISE, nor has it been seen on any official map from authentic sources, from our humble SPACE we locate it in HYPERBOREA, the great center between the KNOWN CONTINENTS with its great PORTAL to ASGARD.
Some even placed the Supposed Eden in Ethiopia, at the sources of the Nile, but others, traveling through all these countries, did not find that either the temperature or the altitude of the sun corresponded to their ideas on the matter; nor did it seem that the OVERFLOWING WATERS OF THE FLOOD had been there.
Some even tried to add arguments to establish that he was in the FORTUNE ISLANDS, now called the CANARY ISLANDS. Saint Isidore, Bede and Strabo and the Master of scholastic history, with Saint Ambrose and Scotus, and all the learned theologians agree that the earthly Paradise is in the East.
Ideas about this hemisphere and its shape have been described, and if you could pass below the equinoctial line after reaching the highest point, you could find a much milder temperature and variation in the stars and in the water: no It is that this high point is supposed to be navigable, not even that there is water there; In fact, it is believed that it is impossible to ascend there, because they have located the sought-after earthly Paradise there, where no one can go except with God's permission; but this land which Your Highnesses have now sent me to explore is very extensive, and I believe there are many other countries in the south, of which the world has never had knowledge.
Others have described that the earthly Paradise even has the shape of a steep mountain, as the descriptions of it have made it appear, and also that it is located on the summit of the place that I have described as having the shape of the stem of a pear; access to it from a distance must be by a constant and gradual climb; But, it is said then that no one could reach the top; Also the story says that the source of the water itself can come from it, although it is far away, and that stopping at the place I have just left, it forms this great lake.
There are great indications then that this is the land of Paradise, because its situation coincides with the opinions of the saints and wise theologians; and, furthermore, the other evidence agrees with the supposed position, for I have never read or heard that fresh water comes in such a large quantity, in close conjunction with sea water; The idea is also corroborated by the softness of the temperature; and if the water of the that I speak does not come from the Earthly Paradise, it seems to be an even greater wonder, because I do not believe that there is any river in the world so big and deep." Or perhaps it is because they have not yet heard of the great Hyperborea and its connection with ASGARD, or rather, they have hidden it from all our modern maps of the new HUMANITY.
When I left the Dragon's Mouth, which is the northernmost of the two straits that I have described and which I called on the day of our lady of August, I found that the sea was running so strongly towards the west that between the hour of mass, When I weighed anchor, and the hour stopped completely, I made sixty-five leagues of four miles each; and not only was the wind not violent, but on the contrary very gentle, which confirmed me in the conclusion that in sailing towards the south there is a continuous ascent, while there is a corresponding descent towards the north. I am certain that the waters of the sea move from east to west with the sky, and that when passing along this path they have a faster course, and therefore they have eaten up large areas of land, and therefore it has given rise to this large number of islands; On the one hand, all those located to the west and east, or a little more obliquely to the northwest and southeast, are wide; while those that are located to the north and south or northeast and southwest, that is, in a direction directly opposite to said winds, are narrow;
Furthermore, the fact that these islands have the most expensive productions is explained by the mild temperature that reaches them from the sky, since they are the highest parts of the world. It is true that in some parts the waters do not seem to follow this course, but this only happens in certain places where they are obstructed by land, and therefore seem to take different directions. . . I now return to my subject of the land of Grace, and of the river and lake found there, the latter of which might more properly be called a sea; because a lake is nothing more than a small area of water, which, when it becomes large, deserves the name of sea, just as we speak of the Sea of Galilee and the Dead Sea; And I believe that if the mentioned river does not come from Earthly Paradise, it comes from an immense expanse of land located in the south.
And what lands then are hidden between the known continents and the famous Antarctica or South Pole?
Or are we talking about water coming from Lands beyond Antarctica?
Lands that have not been known until now.
But the more I reason on the subject, the more convinced I am that the Terrestrial Paradise is situated in the place I have described; and I base my opinion on the arguments and authorities already cited.
May the Lord grant Your Highnesses long life, health and peace to carry out such noble research.
Woe to the hope of solving the problem of the location of Eden by actual exploration!
So can we confirm that Columbus never lived to find his Paradise?
The Hereford world map, dating from the 13th century, represents the favored place as a circular island to the east of India, and as separated from the mainland, not only by the sea, but also by a crenellated wall, with its only gate to the west, through which our first parents were supposed to have been expelled.
Hugo de St. Victor wrote: Paradise is a place in the East where all kinds of forests and pome trees abound. Contains the Tree of Life; there is neither cold nor heat, but a perpetually stable temperature. It contains a fountain that emanates into four rivers. Gautier of Metz, in a poem written in the 13th century, describes the Terrestrial Paradise as located in an inaccessible region of Asia, surrounded by flames and guarded at its only door by an armed angel.
In the year 1322, Sir John de Maundeville made his memorable pilgrimage to the East. In his account of these travels, after describing Prester John's wonderful kingdom in India, he says: And beyond the land, the islands and the deserts of Prester John's lordship, going in line Straight to the East, men find nothing but mountains and large rocks; and there is the dark region where no man can reach...
What strange coincidences we find even in the official books of trips to unknown lands and impenetrable walls or even Custodians who monitor the area..
Neither day nor night, as another fragment of the story, And that desert and that place of darkness lasts from this coast to the terrestrial Paradise, and that is towards the East, to the beginning of the earth. . . I cannot speak properly about Paradise , because I was not there. It is far beyond; and I regret not having gone there, but it was not worthy. But as I have heard the wise men from beyond say, I will tell you with good will. The Earthly Paradise, as the wise men say, is the highest place on earth; and it is so high that it almost touches the circle of the moon there, when the moon makes its turn. It is so high that Noah's flood could not reach it, as it would have covered the entire land of the world everywhere, above and below, except Paradise.
And this Paradise is surrounded on all sides with a wall, and men do not know where it is from; for the wall is covered everywhere with moss, it seems; and it doesn't look like the wall is made of natural stone. And that wall extends from the South to the North; and it has but one entrance, which is closed with burning fire, so that no mortal man dares to enter. And in the highest place of Paradise, exactly in the middle, there is a well that spews out four streams, which flow through various lands, in whose river there are many precious stones.
